And here is the gold price chart for the same period. The importance of this advice is most evident when we look at the return on your investment over this period. Had you purchased gold in March for about $1850 and sold it in may for $2000 you would have made $250 on your $1850 or about 13.5 %. Had you bought FNV in March for about $130 and sold it in May for $150 you would have made $20 on $130 or 15.4 %. But if you had invested $1850 in FNV and made 15.4% you would have seen a $285 increase in cash instead of $250.

 Now we look at another gold royalty company, Sandstorm, and the price graph looks remarkably the same as FNV. The difference, of course, is the basic price is only $5 versus $140.
